About the Job

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer & Architect to help architect robust, high traffic cloud solutions. This individual is hands on and highly capable of both producing overall design and concrete implementation of that design. They have built proven high volume, high traffic, high bandwidth platforms, understand the web at scale.

Primary Responsibilities

Design cloud solutions to power a complex high volume web platform
Build microservice solution using best practices
Lead construction of platform solution by being hands on in creating those solutions
Work closely with other engineers to deliver on time and above expectations
Build the right monitoring tools to keep up with SLA of platform performance, latency using alerts/metrics
Optimize performance, scale out and build resiliency in the platform
Develop tools, libraries and automation code
Build the right monitoring tools to keep up with SLA of platform performance, latency using alerts/metrics
Ensure the quality and performance of the platform through fully automated functional and performance testing
Work as a member of infrastructure engineering responsible to design, develop and operate cloud platforms in the data center whin runs 24x7
Be part of open source communities and contribute code upstream
Minimum Qualifications

BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Business, or Mathematics
10+ years of overall experience in software development
4+ years experience architecture, design, implementation of backend platforms for high volume web products
Expertise in cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computing trends (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud, Google Cloud, etc.)
Demonstrate knowledge of IaaS, PaaS and virtualization – service oriented architecture designed around the delivery of Infrastructure components as a service
Proven experience building/deploying/supporting web backends at scale
Working knowledge with AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) with one or more programming languages
Oversight experience on major transformation projects and successful transitions to implementation support teams
Bonus:

HSM experience (hardware security module)
Cryptography experience
