About the role
We’re looking for a passionate and entrepreneurial problem-solver, with experience in digital product design, to help us deliver the best possible user experience for our customers. Our mission is to make digital currency investments simple, safe and secure for everyone and we are building the next generation of cryptocurrency services for the fast-growing community of digital currency investors - many of whom are new to crypto.

We aspire to be more than a typical cryptocurrency wallet: we’re setting out to solve all the problems that exist around owning cryptocurrency with a product that’s fair, transparent and easy to use.We are a Cardiff-based fintech / insurtech startup so you will be in at the beginning working with us to change the way people hold and manage their cryptocurrency.

We have so much stuff to do and we want to release and learn as quickly as we can. This will be a challenging role which will suit someone who is focused, embraces change and wants to create something completely new.

Responsibilities
You will be the lead designer working on a wide variety of projects in a flat structure alongside product managers, marketers, operations and engineers.
Own the design of all features related to key company strategic initiatives. You’ll need to define an intuitive and modern experience which is also clear and inclusive.
Design new iterations of our web, iPhone and Android apps, improving the performance of our current user journey or creating new features and services for our customers
Work with marketing to evolve the brochure site and digital ads.
Optimise the performance of our product against our key customer and business metrics - identify opportunities to improve the experience through customer research
Work with product to prioritise, design the solution, and own the quality of the delivery with engineering.
Create concepts and prototypes, test them rapidly with a variety of methods, and provide a final recommendation for debate with the product and wider team.

Requirements
At least 3 years experience in designing customer facing digital products (web and mobile)
Ability to make well-reasoned design decisions based on experience and established design principles.
Experience solving complex product UX problems.
Have an eye for detail and design to create visually impactful marketing material.
You are collaborative with great communication skills. We are a small team and need to work together to succeed.
Strong communication skills to interact across teams internally and externally.
You focus on customer needs, but consider technical constraints and business goals.

You’re excited about scaling products and want to help us create a global business.
You’re flexible; we’re a start up so things will change quickly and you’ll be designing lots of different things.
You don’t need to be a cryptocurrency geek but we are someone willing to immerse themselves in this young, exciting and fast-growing sector.
