About the Job

Violet is a new identity protocol built on Ethereum to connect on-chain with verified off-chain identities and serve as an orchestration platform for authentication and authorization against other protocols and applications.

While we think the protocol can serve as a primitive for many use cases, we are going to launch with a direct productization that will enable institutional participation across various DeFi protocols - essentially on-chain compliance as a service.

We are building Violet upon the principles of privacy, transparency and decentralization; it is our goal to enable composability of identities across the crypto stack (and beyond) and prevent fragmentation of identity data.

- Design and build the Violet system at the intersection of web2 and web3, while remaining focused on our users and developers
- Own the architecture and end-to-end development of critical system components, with a particular focus on security, stability and compliance
- Research, design and prototype new system components with emerging technologies (esp with regards to zero knowledge cryptography and threshold signature schemas) - continuously advancing Violet towards greater decentralization and privacy preservation
- Work with the entire team to bootstrap and foster a community around Violet, especially with regards to open source and while continuously improving our software development processes
