Blockchain Developer - Remote or New York

Permanent or Contract position, equity available for permanent candidates.

We're looking for contributors with a background in cryptography, distributed systems and developing for blockchains. Contributors will help design a development roadmap, develop/deploy functionality onto blockchain systems, and help communicate design choices and development progress to the blockchain community.

Technology: The following technologies are expected to be used:

- Programs built on the Ethereum Virtual Machine in Solidity or Go, secured with Tendermint consensus, with validators elected using Delegated Proof of Stake
- Connections to node with NodeJS
- Front-end developement with native Android or iOS, and connecting with USSD services through 3rd-party APIs
- Agile/Scrum and modern software engineering practices (SBE / TDD / CI / CD etc)
- Cloud services, containers for rapid deployment

Preferred experience:

- Hands on experience in applied cryptography, cryptographic protocols, distributed systems or a blockchain platform such as Bitcoin or Ethereum.
- Deep and flexible experience that can help define and drive the technical vision, with the understanding that developing on blockchain platforms may require different ways of thinking
- Demonstrated ability to write compact, easily understood and efficient code.
- Ability to collaborate with people from a diverse set of skillsets, including economic development, financial services, agriculture and telecommunications.
