Blockchain Engineers


Our partner is a Singapore-based blockchain startup. They are a digital investment bank built on the blockchain. They operate at the intersection between Finance and Crypto. The company holds a Capital Markets Services license issued by the Monetary of Singapore to specifically manage digital assets.

Their products focus on wealth management and investment banking. Secure custody solutions and tokenized asset services for financial institutions that are all on the blockchain.

Job scope
You will gain domain knowledge of both industries. It will position yourself to join financial institutions in the future. Finance and Crypto.

You will be part of a newly formed team in a startup company. This role requires you to have a ‘do-whatever-it-takes’ mindset. You'll get a chance to go learn about real-world security engineering, applied cryptography, the blockchain, and understand the capital markets.

After a few months on the job, you would gain experience creating smart contracts, using Solidity, Web3.js, etherjs. However also with things at the low level where you may deal with the HSMs.

You are someone who questions the norm, fulfills promises, and has attention to detail.

Key Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering is a must
- 4-7 years of experience in hands-on coding
- Experience in writing applications using Typescript/Javascript, Node.js
- Comfortable with database technology: e.g. MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle
- Experience in Linux OS is very important
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex technical environment with high adaptability and flexibility
- You have professional experience working in an agile development environment
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices
- Possess excellent communication, sharp analytical abilities, able to think critically of the current system in terms of growth and stability
- Advanced level of spoken and written English
- Experience working with startups preferred
Advantages
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, React & Redux is a plus
- Experience building and deploying applications and services into cloud environments (AWS stack) is a plus

- Foundation level knowledge and programming experience with Bitcoin, Ethereum or other crypto currencies is a plus


Main Responsibilities
- Contribute to the ideation, technical design, implementation, and testing of product features that will transform the capital markets
- Implement support for various blockchain architectures and integrate our applications to various native blockchains
- Design & deliver thoughtfully crafted REST APIs, interfaces, and database schemas to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance
- Developing internal back-office website applications: front-to-back, i.e. UX, DB, APIs
- Produce high quality software following good architecture and design principles that are scalable
- Contribute to test automation within an agile team
- Participate in and contribute actively to architecture reviews, code reviews, design reviews, postmortems, and raise the bar for engineering best practices across the team
- Document changes and guides for the applications
