About the Job

Eco is looking for a Lead Blockchain Architect with experience in blockchain technology to join our team and be the internal thought-leader for the emerging cryptocurrency space. You will be entrusted and empowered with important decisions in architecting and engineering systems that support our vision for the future of cryptocurrencies.. As an early hire, you'll have broad ownership over the product and will help define our story and message as a company.

Responsibilities:
-Work directly with C-level management to lead, own vital projects, create dev process, architect, code, and be an amazing tech leader
-Spearhead the rapid and sustainable growth and development of blockchain protocol
-Define the development of the product strategy and roadmap, including business requirements, features, and functionality, set timelines, and lead the team through development and implementation
-Recruit, manage, and lead a small team of developers

Required Qualifications:
-10+ years total software development experience
-Experience with languages such as C, C++ (including Boost library), Go, Rust, Haskell, Erlang, Clojure, Solidity
-Expertise in distributed ecosystem such as BTC, IPFS, Ethereum
-Deep understanding of consensus protocol design and implementation
-Demonstrated track record of successfully shipping products and/or launching cryptocurrency or blockchain projects
-Solid understanding of applied cryptography
-Experience in building distributed databases, networking protocols, large-scale transaction systems, and/or peer-to-peer networks

Preferred Qualifications:
-Excellent communicator who can collaborate cross-functionally between business development, legal, marketing, etc.
-Experience managing, recruiting, and building a world-class tech team
-Experience in contributing or managing large-scale open source projects
-SF preferred, remote OK
