Clearmatics is a B2B fintech startup that designs, develops and operates member-owned and member-governed digital cash settlement systems. We are scaling rapidly and looking to hire a DOCUMENT AUTOMATION ENGINEER to help drive the next stage of the company's growth.

The document automation engineer will be a member of the Platform team, and work closely with the CEO, Platform Architects, and Product Owners, interfacing with the engineering team. As well as being involved in the product design process, the documentation automation engineer is responsible for supporting Clearmatics' internal platform tooling.



This role is based in our Clearmatics London office and will be part of the product team.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following:

We are building distributed systems for some of the world's leading financial institutions. You will be heavily involved in solving challenging and complex problems faced in banking and capital markets, using cutting-edge technology. As the document automation engineer, you will be responsible for:

Ownership and continued development of in-house document authoring toolchain written in R
Developing and maintaining internal web sites based on R Markdown
Creating, maintaining, and monitoring automated pipelines for building sites and documents
Controlled vocabulary development and maintenance (SKOS - https://www.w3.org/2004/02/skos/)
Designing or customising LaTex styles, CSS stylesheets, Pandoc and R Markdown templates
Supporting site and document authors to resolve layout & rendering issues
Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

Good knowledge of LaTeX and Markdown and technical document authoring toolchains
Proficient in using Linux command line tools and automating flows with Bash shell scripts
Good programming skills in at least one scripting language (ie. Python, Ruby, Perl)
Experience with web technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript) and static site generators (ie. Shiny)
Proficient with Git and leveraging version control for document management and change tracking
Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience with R programming, R Studio, or development/maintenance of CRAN-R packages
Familiarity with Semantic Web technologies and tools: W3C SKOS, OWL, RDF
Designing or customising LaTex styles, Pandoc templates, and R Markdown templates
Creating diagrams and graphics with TikZ and PGF, Graphviz DOT, MetaPost or Asymptote
Experience with Continuous Integration systems, Docker containers, or software packaging
Experience with SQL databases or big data technologies (ie. Hadoop, Splunk, Neo4j)
