Senior Front-end Developer - On site Berlin

MELD is a new generation of DeFi protocols working cross chain and between the crypto and fiat worlds. We are building a lending and borrowing ecosystem to replace banks with a new decentralized vision of what finance can look like. Our protocol includes a dApp for interacting with our multi-chain wallet, lending and borrowing, staking and governance modules with a focus on good user experience and ease of use. We are appealing to both everyday users and we are building a SDK for decentralization and composability at scale.

We are looking for a highly capable Javascript engineer with extensive React, Node and web3 experience to join MELD Labs and contribute to a next-gen DeFI dApp. You will be working closely with the product team and blockchain teams to develop an incredible interface and UX for our users and developers. As part of the MELD Labs team you will be working at the forefront of the DeFi and Web3 tech.


Responsibilities
- Development of react based web application
- Working in a web3 development environment including JS, Go, Solidity and Typescript.
- Working closely with the design department to implement changes, features and more
- Development and integration of modules into backend APIs
Collaborating with back-end developers on the integration of modules.
- Development of interaction models for customer-facing UI and back-end services for various business processes.
- Working in a modern CI/CD pipeline.
- Developing within a defined set of patterns defined by the engineering team.
- Writing tests and organizing code reviews for more junior front-end devs
- Implementing effective security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions.
- Effective and accurate code commenting and supporting the tech documentation staff
- Formal work documentation such as database schemas, naming conventions etc.


Requirements:
- 5 years experience or more as both a javascript & node.js developer
- Examples of previous work or portfolio
- 2 year minimum working in the crypto industry as a developer
- Strong working understanding of DeFi, crypto, bridges and Web3
- Working experience with JavaScript, React, GraphQL, Typescript and Hardhat
- Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3.
- Good communication, and collaboration skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving aptitude.

Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or similar.
- Experience with solidity smart contract writing.
