We’re a fast-moving cryptocurrency media and software startup looking for a motivated, driven and resourceful T-shaped Growth Marketer to join our Marketing team in Hong Kong.

Our Story
When CoinFi cofounder Tim quit his job as a hedge fund manager to trade cryptocurrency full-time, he realized there was a lack of institutional calibre research and trading tools like he was accustomed to on Wall Street.

Together with his fellow cofounders Han and Nate, Tim realized there was a big gap in the market that we could solve with a new type of crypto market intelligence platform.

We quickly got to work and in Aug 2017 launched a token sale. This culminated in Jan 2018 when we raised $15M USD to grow our cryptocurrency media and software startup. Thanks to the token sale, we already have a subscriber list of 80,000+ readers and a telegram community of 23,000+ crypto investors.

While it’s still early, we’re on our way to becoming the leading provider of trading intelligence for the cryptocurrency markets.

What’s the Opportunity?
We’re building a market intelligence platform for crypto investors, and we cannot succeed without having world-class talent who can help us scale up our user acquisition, activation, and retention.

As a Growth Marketer at CoinFi, you’ll be a growth pioneer in the crypto space, helping us win the race to build the dominant market intelligence platform for the crypto markets.

You’ll be supported by colleagues who not only have subject matter expertise in cryptocurrencies and trading, but who highly appreciate the key role that growth plays in product success. We see growth and product as two sides of the same coin (pun intended!).

Your mission (should you choose to accept) as Growth Marketer at CoinFi is to help us identify scalable marketing channels and bake growth into the product, using your skills and creativity to put a rocket engine behind CoinFi’s growth.

What Will You Be Doing?
You’ll be working closely with our CMO, Head of Content Marketing, product team, and data science team, using your expertise in growth marketing, digital marketing channels, and a deep understanding of our customer pain points to exponentially scale up user acquisition and retention for CoinFi.

Some examples of what you will work on as a Growth Marketer at CoinFi:

Quarterback an experiment-based growth process to improve user acquisition, activation, retention, referrals, and revenue (see Hacking Growth)
Work with our data science team to optimize conversion funnels (call to actions, sign up flow, email funnel etc.)
Create compelling landing pages, with either drag and drop builders or by working with a designer
Run A/B split tests using VWO
Write engaging copy for emails and landing pages
Write and test enticing headlines for our content marketing content
Implement a token-based affiliate/referral program
Provide keyword research and on-page optimization advice to our product team
Run PPC campaigns for new CoinFi product launches
Test new marketing channels for CoinFi to identify scalable user acquisition strategies
Create compelling pitch decks for our business development team with either a drag and drop builder like Canva or by working with a designer


This position is perfect for you if you:

Have a proven track record of driving growth at an early-stage company
Are a T-shaped growth marketer, meaning you have at least 1 core speciality where you are a world-class domain expert, but you are well-rounded enough to handle the full-spectrum of responsibilities expected of a growth marketer in an early stage startup.
Are obsessively curious - when you see a company growing quickly, your natural reaction is to dive deeper and reverse engineer their process until you understand the key leverage points down to the smallest detail.
Are passionate about growth marketing: you obsessively follow top blogs and read books in the growth space.
Have strong analytical skills, and a passion for using data to drive growth
Strong copywriting writing ability. You can take a product, ask the right questions to identify the benefits to the customer avatar and speak to the customer in a compelling way
Have strong foundational knowledge when it comes to marketing and startups
Are a data driven marketer. You understand that the growth process comes from a framework of experimentation and testing.
Have a strong understanding of the psychological drivers behind influence and consumer behavior
Are technically competent. You don’t need to be a coder, but you are comfortable with technology. You know how to use new software and can delegate to technical folks to get the job done.
Have a demonstrated interest and foundational knowledge in crypto finance. Ideally you are passionate about the space and have your own crypto portfolio.
Are a self-directed learner - the digital marketing space is constantly evolving, staying on the cutting edge should be a personal point of pride for you.
Understand the cryptocurrency space - you follow the space and have your own portfolio
Have experience managing an referral program/affiliate marketing program (bonus)
Are excited by the fact that there is no crypto growth handbook - we’ll be shaping the space as we go.
Compensation
We are willing to pay above market rates for a superstar candidate. Compensation range is $100,000-$120,000 USD/year ($65,000-80,000 HKD/month).

If you’re currently based outside of Hong Kong, we’re also willing to provide a full relocation package to Hong Kong with plenty of benefits.

We also have the option to offer additional compensation in COFI tokens.
