About the Job

We’re seeking a proven and passionate marketing storyteller to direct Decent’s marketing efforts, with an emphasis on customer segmentation, brand, messaging, and comms. You will develop, own, and execute Decent’s marketing strategy, to help us tell our story and build the future of healthcare for freelancers and others who are underserved by today’s broken healthcare system.
We have two major milestones ahead: a potential Q4 token sale followed by a health benefits product launch in January of next year. To hit these milestones, we need your help to:
+ Segment and understand the demographics, behaviors, problems and psychology of our target customers, including how they want to interact with health care
+ Own our branding efforts, and strengthen our messaging across all customer touchpoints
+ Figure out how to market our benefits to our target customers
+ Design, implement, and run marketing campaigns that win us customers

You will have autonomy to define our marketing strategy and tactics, the full support of incredible, research-friendly and user-centered colleagues to help you deliver, budget, and bring your vision to market.

What You’ll Be Doing:
+ Partner with founders and other team members to drive our business, identify new opportunities for Decent, and drive long-term organizational change
+ Develop a marketing strategy that bridges the technical and business worlds and balances our short-term and long-term business objectives
+ Drive marketing strategy and tactical planning conversations

What We’re Looking For:
+ 5+ years of marketing experience that includes customer segmentation, brand, messaging, and comms work for tech companies, especially in healthcare, insurance, or crypto
+ Experience launching new products that users love in new or evolving markets, and running successful marketing campaigns with limited resources (please provide links to these examples, if public, or screenshots)
+ Customer orientation, segmentation experience, and strong empathy and listening skills
+ Quantitative bent and history of measurable success
+ Entrepreneurial spirit, drive, and creativity, including willingness to roll up your sleeves
+ Experience with content, channel, influencer, and social marketing
+ Strong analytical skills and an aptitude for data-driven decision-making
+ Passion for our mission to bring affordable healthcare to all, and for delivering the best customer experience
+ Exceptional prioritization and organizational skills

What Will Make You Stand Out:
+ Experience developing and executing a holistic marketing strategy with limited resources
+ Prior experience working in a small startup environment or on marketing for early stage companies, including articulating benefits of innovative products to customers
+ Experience managing a marketing team, including paid campaigns
+ Market empathy and experience with consumer behaviors in the health care, insurance, and/or crypto categories, particularly among freelancers
+ Strong understanding of blockchain applications and/or services, and how to market to the crypto community, particularly via Telegram and Twitter and via token sales
+ Hands-on experience conducting user behavior research and strong understanding of trends in the healthcare and/or crypto industries
+ Interest in and/or experience with marketing for token sales
+ Interest in and/or experience with marketing in the health care space
