Clearmatics is a B2B fintech startup that designs, develops and operates member-owned and member-governed digital cash settlement systems. We've recently announced the close of our Series A funding round and are now looking to hire a PRODUCT ANALYST to join our rapidly growing Platform team to help drive the next stage of the company's growth.

The Product Analyst will provide technical and business systems analysis as part of the product specification and product design process, liaising closely with the Product Owner and interfacing with the engineering team

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are working to provide a number of distributed systems to some of the world's leading financial institutions. You will be heavily involved in solving challenging and complex problems faced in banking and capital markets, using cutting-edge technology. As the product analyst, you will work closely with the product owner, customers and system/product architects to understand their requirements, before working with internal developers, technical architects and business partners to design and develop applications/distributed systems.

Deliverables will include:

- Technical analysis to define and analyse requirements including technical interfaces

- Business systems analysis and ownership of product specification and software requirement specification (SRS)

- Reviewing and validating engineering docs, and signing-off against requirements

- Responding to requests from internal stakeholders for clarification of requirements

- Attending internal stakeholder meetings

- Attending external customer-facing meetings

- Having full responsibility for all product level documentation

- Supporting Product Owner and Architect with designing Clearmatics products, assisting with the authoring of design documents.

REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIALS

Proven and established experience as a technical analyst / product analyst / business systems analyst in a complex and mission-critical tech environment,
Exposure to, or experience of working close to architectural thinking - technical architecture / business architecture or product architecture
Hands on technical experience, either with: networks, systems, application development or data.
Background or previous experience working in a 'high transaction' (or mission critical) environment - Finance / Telecoms / Data / Cloud Services / Security software / Gambling / Gaming / Distributed Systems

You will have a rigorous analytical mindset.
You will be a good listener but also be able to make your voice heard.
You will be able to take ownership and make decisions whilst balancing this with knowing when you need to get advice.
You will be curious both about the technology and the wider business and societal implications of our systems and systems like them.
NICE TO HAVES

Solution architecture or Product architecture experience
Open Source awareness - experience of working in an open source environment or engagement in an open source community
Experience of working in a software business where intellectual property (IP) management is a central concern
A background in Fintech, Blockchain or Insuretech or knowledge of Capital Markets
