Senior Software Engineer

Vault Hill is a blockchain based tech start-up building a metaverse to enhance the human experience whilst leveraging extended reality, blockchain and cloud technologies.

We’re a globally distributed team of futurists and tinkerers building the most robust metaverse ecosystem in the blockchain space – and we need an experienced Senior Software Engineer with an eye for detail, who can help design and build the primary architecture and systems at Vault Hill.

This role requires someone who is able to work independently, but is also able to work alongside a multi-disciplinary team working towards building out the Vault Hill metaverse.

Key Responsibilities
● Work with development teams and product managers to ideate and develop high-quality software solutions and also challenge where required
● Document and demonstrate solutions by developing high level documentations
● Design client-side and server-side architecture
● Automate tasks using appropriate tools
● Thoroughly test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
● Improve process and operations by conduction continuous analysis, recommending changes in policies and procedures
● Support and develop other engineers by providing mentoring and feedback
● Grow engineering team by assisting with the recruitment process
● Stay on the leading edge of development best practices

Skills and Experience
● Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer
● Extensive experience in software development and project management
● Ability to translate project requirements into high-level architecture
● Demonstrable knowledge of cloud solutions architecting
● In-depth knowledge of back-end development (Node, Typescript)
● Experience building out responsive front-end web applications using React
● Knowledge of various relational databases, their benefits, and when it is most appropriate to use one
● An analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
● Great attention to detail and organisational skills
● Excellent leadership skills
● Experience building out process and policy within an engineering team

Nice to haves
● Interest in blockchain technology, particularly in the Ethereum eco-system
● Familiarity with Web3 technologies such as ether.js
● Experience with Smart Contract development
