I am the founder and DEI Practitioner of Diversitude, a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Consultancy. We provide customised solutions for companies and institutions, such as Gender Equality Plans (GEPs), DEI strategies, Unconscious Bias and Allyship at Work Trainings and Masterclasses. My goal is to build more diverse and inclusive organisations, where diversity, equity, and inclusion are ingrained in the company's culture—an attitude. We work with clients like the Web Summit, the European Maritime Safety Agency, Volkswagen Digital Solutions, Toptal, Cloudflare, Valispace, Ironhack or ADQ.
As a pro bono, I co-lead Lean In Portugal, an NGO that supports women achieve their ambitions.
I am a trained Psychologist and a PhD Candidate in Gender Studies. I focus on retention, attrition, and promotion of women working in ICT.
After 2 years consulting ThreeFold, a blockchain startup, I launched an agency to help tech companies recruit diverse talent, which pivoted to connect global talent with Dubai and Abu Dhabi-based companies. I thought attracting more diversity to tech was the place to get started to achieve equality. Then I realized how much talent is being lost: 56% of women in IT leave their work within the first 5 years! I decided to change my strategy and focus instead on retaining and nurturing talent, and, especifically, researching the impact of performance reviews on retention and attrition.
I'm a seasoned and passionate speaker. I facilitated a few Masterclasses at the Web Summit in 2019 and 2022, Collision in 2020, as well as various international conferences and private events with private and public organisations.
Furthermore, I'm also passionate about building an inclusive Metaverse. In love with NFTs, minted World of Women #1027 and started breeding CryptoKitties in 2016.
I love hiking and having fun with my son, husband, and two doggies. In my free time, I catch some waves with my bodyboard on the coast of Portugal. Real Madrid fan. Peanut butter enthusiast.
