Job Description:

As a Backend Lead you will work collaboratively with Developers and Product Owners in building and designing a backend microservice architecture according to received requirements for an innovative CBDC based product.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Backend Lead you’ll be responsible for:
Leading the development team of a few people in order to deliver microservice backend for CBDC products.
Providing code documentation, diagrams and other required inputs to technical documents.
Supporting continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
Overseeing development of necessary code base in Node.js, Rust and/or other backend-oriented languages
Participating in a research process about traits, solutions, trends and security measures required for proper use of blockchain technology
Writing and helping to maintain automated tests
Identifying security risks
Providing accurate timing estimates on work
Maximizing system performance through proactive monitoring and ensuring reliability and availability.
Recommending infrastructure solutions to meet the business requirement in compliance with IT policy & procedure.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the role will possess:
Proven track record of working as tech lead or similar role (1 yrs+)
Extensive experience with Node.js programming and related tools (4 yrs+)
Extensive experience in building and maintaining microservice-based applications (4 yrs+)
Experience maintaining and developing API servers (RESTful API or GraphQL API).
Experience developing solutions on top of a cloud-provider (AWS, Google Cloud etc)
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing and operations.
Deep understanding of different software architecture styles and patterns
Comfortable in creating implementation plans, drawing architecture diagrams, identifying use-cases and using any other software designing tools
Comfortable in communicating and leading teams in order to achieve technical excellence
Comfortable setting up environment from scratch
Initiative, self-motivated and able to work as part of a team
Work well under pressure and to deadlines
Comfortable working in an agile, scrum environment
