The X Foundation is looking for an individual to take on the role of a Chief Technology Officer. We are seeking someone to build, lead, and oversee the strategy, development, and commercialization of our social media dapps and distributed ledger technology. As the first truly decentralized currency, not just one that claims to be decentralized while only allowing the 0.001% to control it, we invite you to join our star team to witness the history as we create the first asset of its kind!

Responsibilities

• Own the technology strategy, processes, and related organizational structure for the company as it scales.
• Communicate and work collaboratively with the founders of the organization.
• Lead and grow the product development team and build out necessary technology infrastructure to support the vision and purpose of the X Foundation.
• Work with legal/compliance functions in the organization to ensure systems and processes comply with appropriate regulatory frameworks.

Skills and Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in App/Blockchain development with at least 3+ years in a management or senior leadership role.
• Experience in DLT technologies (Ethereum & Hyperledger suite of platforms is a plus) and C++, Java, Python, Ruby, Solidity, and Go.
• Working UI and UX teams to build outstanding users experiences.
• Proven experience operating in a small, fast-growing startup environment with limited resources.
• Familiarity with social media apps
• Experience hiring technology talent, building teams, and implementing processes.
• Solid understanding of product lifecycle and project management processes.
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
• Entrepreneurial and hands-on while being flexible and resourceful.
• Ability to prioritize work and juggle multiple responsibilities effectively.

Since the startup is still in the prototype stage, we expect that you look forward to taking ownership and getting your hands dirty to do the actual work and eventually look to set up your own processes so that you can lead the technical team.

For your experience, you will complement the CEO's business expertise with your technical expertise gained from years of full-stack development including backend/API integration with various systems and front-end development. You also have some experience with blockchain and building blockchain-based products with some level of traction. Your leadership is also evident based on your many years of managing developers/engineers.
