Our unique platform-as-as-service enables game developers to easily create and operate marketplaces where players can then buy, sell and trade “in-game assets” (e.g., skins, weapons and tools) with each other. By leveraging the Ethereum Blockchain, for the first time ever, players have true ownership and control over their in-game assets.

We are backed by top-tier investors including Naspers Ventures, Galaxy Digital, Apex Capital and Coinbase. With US$15m raised in venture funding, and over US$6m in revenue from our genesis sale we are very well positioned to leverage our first-mover advantage globally and make ownership of in-game assets go mainstream.

Our first title, Gods Unchained, is already the number one blockchain game in terms of players, revenue and secondary asset trading. In fact, Gods Unchained has issued more in-game assets than all other blockchain games, put together.. More games are set to join the platform in 2020.

That's where you come in...

The Ethereum Engineer will help design and build the future of game asset ownership. They will enable game developers to give millions of players access to Ethereum-backed in-game items, and add decentralised features around these items to make them fully-fledged assets.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Build the infrastructure to ensure that games developers can give their users Ethereum-backed assets
- Build platform features and protocols to allow more games to take advantage of Immutable’s technology.
- Propose new distribution and engagement mechanisms for our games which are enabled by the blockchain.
- Work with internal and external game development teams to determine how we can improve blockchain UX for gamers.
- Be an advocate for blockchain and decentralisation within the company: work to help us create a fundamental shift in the culture of the gaming industry.

Requirements:
- Ethereum - It is crucial that as an applicant your deeply familiar with the EVM down to a bytecode level.
- Solidity - Must have deployed complex contracts using Solidity. Must be able to write well-tested, highly polished code that will be able to be the base layer for future applications.
- Development - Must be a generally strong developer who will be able to create wrappers around their work and help others integrate them into their products. Must be capable of constructing both backend and frontend integrations with Ethereum where necessary.
- Communication - The Ethereum engineer will be a key member of our team and be tasked with funnelling blockchain information to other parts of the company, so you need to be a strong communicator.
