About the Job

BitPay is seeking a Senior Front End Developer to help build the future of commerce and bring blockchain payments technology to the world. Most products in fintech look very similar because they are all built on the same legacy payment rails underneath (credit cards, ACH, etc). However, digital currency turns this idea on its head, providing a blank canvas to design a new payment system from the ground up. We're looking for a talented developer with a design sensibility to help us solve the pain points of blockchain payments and to help pioneer these experiences on a global scale.

In this role, you will apply your passion for tackling complex UI problems with a focus on our customers' needs. If you are a well-rounded developer who steps back to analyze UI flows but also loves improving the initial design to make it even better, this is the place for you. Our ideal candidate has a clean design sense, and is dedicated to creating cutting-edge UIs using state-of-the-art front-end technologies and CSS.

Responsibilities:

Collect — Talk to designers to gain empathy for customer problems, needs, and mental models.
Collaborate — Work directly with designers and back-end engineers to bring projects to the finish line.
Develop — Translate complexity into user-friendly experiences by using state-of-the-art front end technologies and CSS.
Test — Set up A/B testing in collaboration with the design team to figure out the best user flows.
Iterate — Leverage feedback and data to iterate on the designs.

Requirements:
5+ years of Javascript and CSS experience working on both consumer and enterprise products (we use Angular 2, Vue.js, Redux)
RxJS knowledge and a passion for animations gets us excited!
Diverse portfolio of work with strong examples of web-based applications (examples of your best work – pixel-perfect UI, live product links, UI animations, and code are all enthusiastically accepted)
Cryptocurrency development experience is a plus
