About the Job

The Community Lead plays a strategic role in Ocean. We are looking for a person that is highly proactive, organized, adaptive, and reliable. The ideal candidate will be a master of Crypto Twitter, Telegram and Discord, with outstanding communication skills, a knack for developing personal relationships, and proven experience building web3 communities. The Community Lead will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and work closely with the engineering team to spread the word, grow the community and manage day-to-day activities community related.

**What you will do**
- Build, maintain and promote a vibrant community culture on Discord and other community channels such as Twitter, Telegram, LinkedIn, Medium, and Reddit
- Plan, execute, and iterate upon community engagement/growth campaigns with an experimental and analytical approach
- Engage meaningfully with both our community and the wider crypto community as a representative of Ocean
- Actively seek out and organize potential community building opportunities
- Help scale and manage a team of community moderators
- Think strategically to support the development of the Ocean community, from crypto enthusiasts to data scientists
- Liaise, brief and support external collaborators
- Working collaboratively with people outside of your team and outside of the company
- Provide insights and guidance to the leadership team on market development, community requirements, and competitive analysis

**What you will bring**
- 2-3 years professional experience in building Web3 digital communities
- Ability to work across different marketing and social media platforms
- Crypto native, knowledge of Web3 space
- Great responsiveness to be the defense on Ocean social accounts
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity/unknown waters and taking ownership over decisions
- Experience interacting with and leading communities at scale
- Ability to think strategically
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently, strong initiative, can-do attitude and receptive to learning new skills
- BSc/MS degree, preferably in communications or marketing
