About the Job

The Role:
Coinchange is looking for an experienced Crypto Analyst to join our Crypto Intelligence team and help us with our mission of empowering everyone to improve their financial well-being with DeFi instruments.

We are creating a world where monetary inflation is mitigated by modern digital finance instruments now available to all.

Reporting directly to the Lead DeFi researcher, you will work in close collaboration with our DeFi team and work on providing comprehensive coverage on one of the fastest-growing and most exciting areas of crypto.

We’re looking for someone with a strong analysis & crypto research background with an understanding of the economics and dynamics of our business and the market. Somebody ambitious who is curious to understand why and how the markets work & can confidently learn without shying from tight deadlines or complex problems.
You should thrive in ambiguity, being able to take vague requirements and turn them into real applications with your own understanding of the user’s needs.

Your Responsibilities:
-Conduct extensive due diligence on crypto projects and assets across blockchain to understand their risks, including smart contract risk, protocols financial risk, operational risks, counterparty risks, liquidity risks.
-Develop an understanding of the tokenomics and financial structure behind each protocol to gauge their long term viability.
-Write summaries that synthesize the DD results, working cross-functionally to educate various teams on all elements of the project/asset
-In addition to writing summaries, manage documentation on crypto projects and asset, to empower internal cross-functional teams and external constituents who have a need to easily and quickly understand complex matters.
-Stay informed of news, forks, governance, and other major events associated with assets supported on Coinchange platforms.
Improve and maintain internal tools (including spreadsheets and documents) to keep track of information about different assets and protocols.
-Manage the rigor of day-to-day operations with energy, enthusiasm, empathy towards colleagues, and a strong bias for action.
-Partner with external stakeholders such as researchers, data aggregation platforms, to help prioritize, review, and finalized risk research results.
-Prioritize completing tasks and deadlines, using data driven decision making.
-You’ll assist with other activities of the research team. You will wear many hats, contribute to different projects, thanks to your deep knowledge on protocols and asset Coinchange uses, and adapt to the needs of a growing organization.

This Is You:
-A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, specifically in financial services, investment management, or crypto research & ideally as an analyst, strategist, or specialist.
-A degree in a technical area (i.e. mathematics, engineering or computer science) and/or technical experience is strongly preferred
-Startup experience, with demonstrated ability to move fast while maintaining an excellent quality bar.
-Demonstrated experience and a passion for cryptocurrencies, particularly in DeFi, assessing risk, and other facets specific to the digital asset space is preferred but not required
-You are a great communicator and a clear thinker. You can convey complex narratives and details in an accurate and coherent manner that can be understood by a general audience.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills; great listener with the ability to concisely synthesize complex issues. Ability to translate complex information effectively across the organization and audiences.
-Have a positive attitude, being curious, motivated, and drive research to completion through shifting priorities and deadlines.
-Experience building and maintaining spreadsheets, and performing basic data analysis.
-Knowledge of DeFi, yield farming, dapps, and staking is prefered
-Metrics orientation, ability to work with data
Ability to think through complex problems and effectively communicate problems and potential solutions
-Excellent analytical/problem-solving, and computer skills with an emphasis on quantitative analysis
