About the Job

We are looking for a Business Development Specialist, who is great in networking, starting and growing/nurturing relationships with new and existing clients, and at the same time highly interested in Web3 technology, loves dynamic environments, and likes to be rewarded for initiatives. You will be tasked with helping us build new and maintain existing relationships with our clients and position our business for long-term growth in the Web3 ecosystem.

Your main focus will be the Polygon Edge, an open-source modular blockchain development framework built for engineers who want to create their own blockchains. The framework allows for the creation of both secured chains (Layer-2 blockchains) and standalone Ethereum sidechains.

Polygon Edge is an integral part of Polygon’s offering of scaling solutions with the mission to become the gateway and the standard for building the multi-chain future.

Responsibilities:

- You are an active communicator and can reach out to new and existing clients, figure out how to partner with them, and then execute on a partnership (e.g. defining a plan, creating content, etc.).
- Build relationships with web3 companies, chat with their founders, and figure out how we can leverage our expertise and network to help them.
- Create a strategic plan for reaching out to enterprises, close deals and partnerships, and onboard new clients.
- Focus on business while exploring the Web3 frontier technology.
- Support pricing strategies and create adequate packages for business development targets.
- You have a “can-do” attitude and can pivot on the fly to make clients and our developers reach Win-Win solutions.
- Comfort in working with a small team in a very fast-paced environment and motivation to work with international teams and organizations.

Requirements:

- Native or near-native English proficiency
- Proven track record of closing deals and partnerships with other Web3 projects or Enterprises
- 5+ years of business development or partnerships experience in the blockchain/crypto space or Enterprise space
- Strong organizational and business development skills
- Top-tier writing skills specifically focused on persuasion and education, creating content, and delivering business development presentations to Web3 and Enterprises
- Good communication skills and client-facing skills
- You understand how to build audiences and product-market (ideally) in the Web3 space
- Actively involved with crypto communities (Discord, Twitter)

Preferred:

- A strong, existing network of connections within the Web3 space
- Understanding and judgment of project acquisition and contacts with prospects
- Leadership experience in leading business development teams that can scale, enabling collaboration and cross-team communication
- A pulse on the blockchain space with a keen ability to identify and act on emerging trends
- A deep understanding of blockchain technology
- Have strong expertise in all key areas of marketing

The project you will be working on is Polygon Edge, a blockchain node software for spinning up standalone private/public blockchains and you will be closely collaborating with other projects within the Polygon ecosystem.

MVP Workshop is a Web3 venture builder driven by the exploration of disruptive technologies and their application in real-life scenarios.

We are a team of entrepreneurs, engineers, designers, and product folk interested in cutting-edge Web3 technologies. Over the past 5 years, we fell in love with everything blockchain and have been gathering valuable experience with defining, building, and growing crypto products in partnership with our clients, as well as doing our R&D in-house.
