About the Job

You will be a large part of defining and later translating strategic product goals of the Polygon Edge into product roadmaps, feature scopes, and technical planning sessions with the engineering team.

You will be leading cross-organization product efforts.

Your main focus will be the Polygon Edge, an open-source modular blockchain development framework built for engineers who want to create their own blockchains. The framework allows for the creation of both secured chains (Layer-2 blockchains) and standalone Ethereum sidechains.

Polygon Edge is an integral part of Polygon’s offering of scaling solutions with the mission to become the gateway and the standard for building the multi-chain future.

Responsibilities:

- Keeping up with the latest trends in the L1/L2 blockchain protocol development
- Keeping track of the Engineering team’s efforts to foresee changes to the roadmap and general priorities
- You will lead grooming and planning sessions with the Engineering team
- You will prioritize and schedule tech-support team’s requests
- To create concise and clear overviews of all product efforts, internally through Demos (together with the engineering team), and externally through written public product updates.
- Assessment of the trends present in the web3 industry relevant to our product’s development
- Participate in creating the product strategy together with the leadership team.
- To own the roadmap, keeping the product strategy and the direction of the engineering team aligned.

Requirements:

- You have a broad knowledge of web3 technologies, including Enterprise blockchain usage, L1/L2 solutions and competing L1 solutions
- You have technical knowledge and engineering experience to be able to participate in high-level discussions of technical solutions with the engineering team
- You have experience of being a Scrum Master, Team Lead or a Dev Manager
- You have experience in product design and strategical planning

Preferred:

- Blockchain and/or general software engineering experience
- A strong, existing network of connections within the Web3 space
- Knowledge of DeFi protocols

The project you will be working on is Polygon Edge, a blockchain node software for spinning up standalone private/public blockchains and you will be closely collaborating with other projects within the Polygon ecosystem.

MVP Workshop is a Web3 venture builder driven by the exploration of disruptive technologies and their application in real-life scenarios.

We are a team of entrepreneurs, engineers, designers, and product folk interested in cutting-edge Web3 technologies. Over the past 5 years, we fell in love with everything blockchain and have been gathering valuable experience with defining, building, and growing crypto products in partnership with our clients, as well as doing our R&D in-house.
