Stratum V2 Mining Pool Enables Direct Revenue Sharing for Individual Miners

DMND, a Stratum V2-based mining pool, announced on August 14th an integration with Mempool Accelerator that fundamentally changes how mining revenue flows to individual miners. The integration allows miners using Stratum V2 to directly earn fees from transaction acceleration services—revenue that traditionally remained with mining pools.

Shifting Revenue Control to Individual Miners

Under the conventional mining pool model, pools control which transactions receive priority and collect the associated acceleration fees. DMND's integration with Mempool Accelerator breaks this pattern by enabling individual miners to handle transaction prioritization directly through Stratum V2. When a miner discovers a block containing accelerated transactions, they collect the additional revenue rather than the pool.

"Our premise is simple: when miners build their own blocks through DMND's Stratum V2 implementation, they unlock revenue streams that were never available to them before," said Alejandro De La Torre, DMND's CEO. "The pool used to prioritize them and the pool used to collect for them. On DMND the miner does both."

Orange Surf, Head of Strategy & Research at mempool.space, confirmed this represents the first integration allowing Stratum V2 miners using Job Declaration to earn their share of acceleration revenue. Mempool Accelerator currently works with over 80% of network hashrate.

Industry Implications

This integration raises questions about revenue distribution practices across the Bitcoin mining industry. As DMND demonstrates direct revenue sharing for acceleration services, other pools that operate or integrate with transaction accelerators may face pressure to justify their current fee structures.

For professionals in the Bitcoin mining sector, this development signals a potential shift in how mining operations structure compensation and revenue streams. The technical capabilities of Stratum V2—specifically Job Declaration—make this type of direct revenue sharing possible, suggesting further innovation in miner compensation models may emerge as Stratum V2 adoption grows.

Mining professionals and pool operators should monitor how this integration affects competitive dynamics in the mining pool landscape and whether similar revenue-sharing models become industry standard.
