Actively looking
I’m a senior software engineer with a background in Rust, systems programming, WebAssembly runtimes, blockchain infrastructure, compilers, and backend systems. I studied Computer Science at Oxford and Cambridge, and have worked on technically complex infrastructure at DFINITY and Fuel Labs, including WebAssembly runtime memory systems, persistent heaps, blockchain indexing, ABI decoding, procedural macros, Postgres persistence, and developer tooling.
My strongest work is in systems where correctness, reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability matter. I’m especially interested in crypto infrastructure that connects to real usage: indexing, protocol-adjacent systems, Solana/Rust infrastructure, payments, stablecoins, trading systems, and developer platforms.
What makes me different is that I combine low-level systems experience with a strong interest in how complex systems behave under uncertainty. I like work where the engineering is close to the real structure of the domain — markets, protocols, ledgers, runtimes, and data flows — rather than surface-level application code. I’m looking for a role where I can contribute deep technical judgment, ownership, and careful architecture to serious crypto infrastructure.

● Contributed to fuel-indexer, a Rust-based blockchain indexing framework for Fuel,
working across procedural macros, WASM execution, Fuel/Sway ABI decoding,
GraphQL-derived entity models, Postgres persistence, and async indexing services.
● Simplified the developer experience for writing Fuel indexers by hiding low-level block
traversal, transaction/receipt decoding, runtime integration, and persistence behind typed
Rust APIs.
● Helped maintain a complex developer-facing indexing stack involving Rust handler
functions, generated WASM modules, Fuel blockchain data models, schema generation,
and database integration.

● Designed and implemented parts of the memory model for WebAssembly canisters
running on the Internet Computer, including persistent heap behavior.
● Engineered the Internet Computer Hypervisor, the runtime component responsible for
scheduling and executing WebAssembly canister code.
● Implemented page-level memory tracking using mprotect/SIGSEGV to support efficient
persistence of WebAssembly memory.
● Compiled Rust and C to WebAssembly using LLVM and built SDK/tooling support for
writing Internet Computer programs.

● Designed and implemented core parts of Ludwig, a domain-specific programming
language for cloud infrastructure orchestration, including static typing, extensible records,
and algebraic data types.
● Built compiler components that transformed user-written Ludwig programs into an
intermediate representation consumed by Fugue’s backend systems.
● Evaluated typed Ludwig programs into stable graph representations of cloud-resource
dependencies.
● Helped implement infrastructure logic for creating, updating, and destroying cloud
resources such as AWS compute instances and S3 buckets.
● Built developer tooling for Ludwig, including Language Server Protocol (LSP) support and
IDE integration.
